Magnetic depth probe

Construction

A magnetic head carrying two sockets on its rear face, supplied with a cover for the magnet and a handle. At the centre of the head sits a concentric pin of non-magnetisable stainless steel, which creates two poles electrically insulated from one another, each with its own socket outlet on the rear.

Materials

Magnetic head, handle and cover are coated in bright polyamide plastic, Ertacetal POM, a biocompatible material. The application surface is smooth to the touch and stays cool.

Dimensions and field

• Application surface: circular, 37 mm diameter
• Overall diameter: 50 to 52 mm
• Field force: approximately 2,000 Gauss
• Static magnetic field extends to approximately 40 to 50 cm

Shielding

The front face can be closed off with the cover, so the probe can be shielded when it is not in use.

Compatibility

An accessory for the BICOM® device range, connecting to either the input or the output. Supplied with the manufacturer’s documentation.
