Many of our patients suffer from metabolic disorders. In general, we distinguish between protein metabolism, fat metabolism, carbohydrate metabolism, disorders of excretion of pancreatic juices and uric acid metabolism. Disorders of these different metabolic forms can lead to different clinical pictures, some of which are also congenital, but most of which are acquired.
Today we want to deal with fat metabolism first. This involves the synthesis, digestion, transport, storage and breakdown of fats (lipolysis). This is important for energy production, cell structure (membrane building blocks) and the production of hormones. The body is able to convert fatty acids into energy when there is an increased need for energy. In the process, ketone bodies are also formed, which are important for the energy supply of the brain.
Triglycerides, cholesterol and fatty acids are absorbed through food. During fat digestion, triglycerides are broken down into monoglycerides and free fatty acids with the help of lipases and then absorbed in the small intestine. Lipases are also released from the pancreas into the duodenum. The digestion and decomposition of the fats take place until they can be absorbed by the enterocytes of the small intestine and tiny fat droplets are formed by the bile juice.
The lipids released during digestion go directly into the blood and are transported with the help of lipoproteins. 80% of triglycerides from the digestive process are absorbed by muscle and adipose tissue.
Lipids and lipoproteins can be created as fat reserves by the acetyl-CoA molecules produced during glycolysis. Due to the excess of acetyl-CoA, ketone bodies can also be formed during food abstinence.
The thyroid hormones T3 and T4 boost fat loss (lipolysis), promote the formation of free fatty acids as an energy source and regulate liver enzymes for cholesterol breakdown. This is why patients with hypothyroidism often have disorders of lipid metabolism.

Applicators and supporting measures
In all these programs, saliva or blood is located in the input cup and the modulation mat in the output. For the location of the input applicators, either follow the recommendations in the device for these programs or use a flexible applicator on the point furthest to the right of the costal arch. This is where the nutrient point is located, which has to do with the processing of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids and bitter substances. In one of her lectures at the BICOM Congress, the naturopath Sissi Karz recommended adding avocado oil to the output cup and adding the therapy information to it. Then the oil is rubbed regularly on the extreme right edge of the rib. Of course, you can also choose a chip, trace elements or other media to extend the therapy information.
In addition, you can choose substance complexes from the category of metabolism, homeopathic remedies, liver, etc. In the systematics of the 5 elements in CTT, fat metabolism belongs to the element wood (fat metabolism meridian according to Dr. Voll). Therefore, the liver and gallbladder should always be harmonized and stabilized, which are also part of the element wood and are important for fat metabolism.
Also consider the connections between the thyroid gland and fat metabolism (see above). Hypothyroidism must also be treated if it is the trigger for the lipid metabolism disorders.
