Methotrexate and leflunomide create problems for the patient and for the physician prescribing them. Two cases of seropositive rheumatoid arthritis are followed here over two and a half years, clinically and by laboratory test: a 44-year-old man who never took the chemotherapeutic agents at all, and a 64-year-old woman who had to stop them because of serious side effects.
