As already described in the September Newsletter 2024, almost all chronically ill patients suffer from adrenal fatigue. In this newsletter, we look at the functional side of the adrenal gland.
Function: The adrenal gland is anatomically differentiated into cortex and medulla and is able to produce over 40 different hormones. The most important representative in the adrenal cortex is the stress hormone cortisol, which is subject to a fluctuation during the day.
The main task of cortisol is to provide energy for the body in the form of sugar. In addition, cortisol stimulates the production of sugar from the body’s own stores (gluconeogenesis), the breakdown of the body’s own sugar deposits (glycolysis) and the breakdown of fat for energy production (lipolysis). Cortisol also causes a dampening of the immune system and an anti-inflammatory effect, as well as an increase in the effect of other stress hormones (e.g. adrenaline). The amount of the hormone cortisol released is controlled by the pituitary gland. To do this, the pituitary gland produces the hormone ACTH (adrenocorticotropic Hormone), which stimulates the adrenal glands to release hormones. The adrenal cortex also produces hormones to regulate the mineral and water balance (aldosterone) and sex hormones (androgens, oestrogens, progesterone) and controls the temperature balance and blood circulation.
The adrenal medulla consists mainly of nerve cells. In contrast to other nerve cells, the messengers formed here are released into the blood as hormones. These hormones (adrenaline, noradrenaline) produced in the adrenal medulla are released in stressful situations, provide energy and activate many organ systems (increase in heart and respiratory rate and blood pressure, tension of skeletal muscles). The adrenal hormones are controlled by the pituitary-hypothalamic control circuit.
Symptoms of adrenal fatigue
- General: low body temperature, cold, low energy, chronic fatigue, weight problems (not losing or gaining weight), hypoglycaemia, slow wound healing, low stress tolerance
- Psyche: depression, anxiety, concentration disorders, sleep disorders
- Immune system: under- or overreactions, frequent infections (skin, sinuses, bladder, intestines, fungal infections, etc.), allergies, autoimmune diseases
- Muscles: muscle weakness, muscle or joint pain, fibromyalgia, due to permanent stress, repetitive injuries, repetitive injuries and carpal tunnel syndrome, weak connective tissue (ligaments, bones, etc.), headache
- Libido: lack of libido and loss of function, menstrual irregularities, infertility
- Vessels: low blood pressure, high blood pressure, Raynaud’s disease
- Intestine: constipation, flatulence, indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome
- Nervous system: numbness of the hands or feet (symmetrical), weak senses e.g. sight, taste, smell
- Skin: dry, pallor, acne
- Hair: thin, strawy, dry or fatty
In BICOM therapy, the test kit for hormones, organs and miasms can be used very well for support. Since the adrenal gland is in close cooperation with all other endocrine glands, not only the adrenal gland, but also the other hormones and endocrine glands should be energetically tested. The test kit is tested with program 192 or 198 (therapy type A) and a combination of the hormone ampoules and the ampoules of the endocrine organs is formed. This can then be used in the 1st channel with program 192 or 198 (alternatively 10327). Please test time and amplification. In addition, the information can also be transferred to a carrier material (BICOM traces, chips, oil). However, this combination can also be used in the second channel. For example, you can also use this combination in the following adrenal support program.
