The health market – the future driving force of the economy from 2000

Kondratieff cycles run 40 to 60 years, and the last downturn came when the OPEC countries put the crude price up faster than industry could adapt. This paper argues that health, alongside the environment, is the basic innovation that follows information technology, and that immaterial innovation is where the growth in the next cycle sits.
